The Penzance BID team approached ABG Design to help create a new brand for Penzance that better reflects the personality of the town and the people who live there.

The existing identity didn’t fully capture the town’s cultural richness or the breadth of its offer; from three leading art galleries and independent shops to parks, theatre, cinema, and the UK’s first Art Deco seawater lido.

With a newly restored promenade and renewed confidence in the town centre, Penzance needed a brand that could tell a bigger, truer story.

Solution

ABG Design worked closely with the BID team and local stakeholders to define the tone, values, and visual direction for Penzance’s new brand identity.

Drawing on the town’s deep history, including its royal market charter and town status dating back centuries. We developed a brand that feels proud, contemporary, and rooted in place for this beautiful seaside town.

The new brand creates a clear platform for celebrating the heritage and creativity of Penzance, while presenting the town as a vibrant coastal destination for residents, visitors, and future investment.
