Project

Stirling Castle sits atop a dramatic volcanic outcrop and has guarded the River Forth crossing for centuries.

With a rich history dating back to the 1100s, the castle has been shaped by royal dramas and pivotal moments in Scotland’s history. As one of the country’s best-preserved historic sites, it now welcomes more than 100,000 visitors a year.

ABG was commissioned to create a 108-page Official Souvenir Guidebook that would also translate to Chinese, German, French, Spanish, and Italian versions.

We created a guidebook design that brings Stirling Castle to life through immersive illustrations and striking imagery. Detailed print design specifications ensured colour fidelity, legibility, and a high-quality finish that reflects the significance of the site.

“Most recently, ABG have completed design of a guidebook for Stirling Castle (published spring 2024). The process of developing this book went very smoothly and to schedule. Howard and Jacob were responsive and flexible, the design work was inventive and creative and showed a keen eye for detail. I am now working with ABG on a similar guidebook for Edinburgh Castle, our premier property, due to be published in December 2024.”
