English Heritage – Royal Garrison Church book
We were delighted to be approached by the team at English Heritage to design a feature book for the Royal Garrison Church. Built in 1212 by the Bishop of Winchester as a hostel and hospital for pilgrims, this church still stands today. The church was restored in the 19th century, but was badly damaged in 1941 due to the bombing of Portsmouth.
The chancel is still roofed and furnished and this room book contains an insight into the stained glass artwork, and many of the artefacts that can be found in the chancel today.
